Coffee is a loved hot beverage all over the globe. It smells great, tastes great and gives a useful caffeine boost to kick start your day.
Most people don’t have time to make themselves fresh coffee in the morning which is why many people collect one from their closest coffee shop as they head off to work.
Once at work though, a freeze-dried coffee just isn’t equivalent to the lovely fresh cup drunk on the way to work, so what can be done?
Switched-on companies have coffee vending machines in the workplace giving quality coffee to anyone that wants it, when they want it. A coffee vending machine is a good morale booster because staff feel appreciated and by installing one, staff are able to stay in the office rather than popping out out to a coffee shop.
Bean-to-cup machines give the best tasting coffee. The beans stay fresh longer than unsealed ground coffee and they are ground to order. Some companies offer machines with ground coffee in sealed foil capsules which also keep fresh well so it is worth looking at both options. This sort of machine is known as freshbrew and they usually dispense leaf tea too. With a grinder, you get the gorgeous smell though and beans are less expensive than capsules.
Bean to cup machines are generally more costly than those that use ground coffee and they are noisy when they grind but they do make great coffee.
Traditional coffee machines use freshly ground coffee and they are the ones frequently seen in coffee shops but they are not great for an office because of all the mess they generate and they require daily cleaning and a certain amount of skill to operate.
Some vending machines use instant coffee and while it is not as tasty as fresh coffee, these machines can produce cappuccinos, mochas and more and they are less expensive to buy than the bean to cup varieties. Because they can make different types of coffee they are also better than a jar of freeze dried coffee and they dispense very quickly so have time savings over staff waiting around for a kettle to boil.
Coffee vending machines can be bought as either compact table top options or free standing. Table top machines are great for meeting rooms but in a large office environment, a free standing machine is probably best.
The machines can dispense at no cost to staff, at reduced prices or at High Street prices – there’s flexibility to choose what suits.
Coffee vending machines are a great addition to any workplace and are an investment worth making.
